The objective of my first presentation will be to explain the history of pharmacy which includes its prehistoric origins and follows through the most important events in pharmacy. I will be using my visual which will be a time line outlining the important events in pharmacy.
1) I will introduce myself and my subject and tell the class more or less what this presentation will be about and give them a quick rundown of the lesson.
2) I will address the class by asking if the may have any idea if they have ever seen pharmacy in history or if the even believe this is possible. If a student answers I will then ask them to elaborate on this knowledge.
3) I will then give them a "cliff notes" version of the history of pharmacy which will run until there is about a minute left on the clock in which case I will address the class again and ask them a question in which I will call on a random person. My lesson will then end.
The lesson that I will give will require minimal materials. I will need a timeline visual, a yardstick to point to the visual, and I will need pop sticks to call on a random person in the class this last material will be provided by the teacher.

ReplyDeleteYou will most likely be using this content in your two hour presentation.
Instead, focus on a prescribed drug. As an example, you could talk about the history of Viagra including how the drug is made, the demographics of who uses it, and its increase or decrease of popularity (specific number, please) over the years.
The objective of my presentation will be to inform the students of the most popular drug that pharmacies have and that drug is Vicodin. I will be showing them who makes it, what Vicodin is for, the side effects of Vicodin, and the positive and negative effects are. I will do this with the aid of my visual a poster filled with Vicodin related pictures ranging from the actual pill to the effects it has on the brain and body. If I have permission I would like to bring and empty bottle of Vicodin I will assure you it will be empty as it will aid as a visual to my presentation
ReplyDelete1) I will tell the class what the drug Vicodin is and its effects on the human body.
2) I will then tell the class what the positive and negative effects of Vicodin are.
3) I will then address the class asking 2-3 people what have we learned and asking them questions related to the presentation. My presentation will then end.
The materials I will require are my visual which I will provide, an empty bottle of Vicodin if you approve it, and your cup filled with pop sticks with peoples names on it.
Approved.
ReplyDeleteMuch better! As this is a science-based senior project topic, I will be scrutinizing the science behind your presentation; you should explicitly state your sources of dug information, and I would like to se statistics on wh the users of Vicodin area (age, country, sex, etc...).
